Product Description
Product Overview

WL-Z412 is a styrene-acrylic copolymer emulsion designed for waterborne industrial coatings. It features a small particle size and moderate viscosity, and shows good compatibility with rust inhibitors and anticorrosive pigments. Coatings formulated with it provide excellent water resistance, brine resistance, and salt spray resistance. It is free of heavy metals and halogens, and can be used as an all-in-one primer-topcoat paint. It is suitable for light- to medium-duty anticorrosive primers and all-in-one primer-topcoat systems, as well as for infrastructure, large steel structures, and general-purpose protection on multiple substrates.

Formulation Recommendations

In terms of formulation design, given its small particle size and weak alkalinity, the following recommendations are suggested:

  1. Coalescing agents: Since its MFFT is about 20°C, the amount of coalescing agent (such as Texanol) should be adjusted appropriately for winter application to ensure proper film formation.
  2. Anticorrosive pigments: Systems with good compatibility, such as zinc phosphate, are recommended so that its anticorrosive performance can be fully achieved.
