FR002 has very low water solubility and is particularly suitable as an acid source for intumescent fireproof coatings. Other important components of intumescent fireproof coatings include binders (such as acrylic), carbon sources (such as pentaerythritol), gas sources (such as melamine), and so on. After being exposed to flame, the intumescent fire retardant coating will form a dense carbon layer on the surface, effectively blocking the temperature rise of the substrate.
