Product Description

Product Description
WL-AD391 is a water-based hydroxyl acrylic dispersion designed for formulating high-performance two-component polyurethane coatings when combined with water-based isocyanate curing agents. Ideal for topcoats and clear coats on metal and wood substrates.
Features: High hydroxyl content, rapid hardness development, high cross-linking density, excellent weathering/chemical resistance, and superior decorative properties.
Note: This dispersion can directly substitute Bayhydrol A2695.
Applications: Compatible with low-viscosity hydrophilized hardeners for high-quality coatings on metal, plastic, and wood surfaces.

Physical Properties

Parameter Value
Appearance Milky white liquid
Non-Volatile Content (%) 42 ± 1
Viscosity (mPa·s) 100–2000
pH 7.5–8.5
Hydroxyl Content (reference, %) 5.0

Application Guidelines

  1. Formulation Recommendations

    • Resin (Component A) Solvents: DPNB, PNB, DBG, BG, etc.
    • Curing Agent (Component B) Solvents: PGDA, PMA, PMA + DBE (1:1 or 1:2 ratio).
    • Critical Note: High initial viscosity of mixed components reduces pot life.
  2. Processing Stability
Not recommended for color paste grinding: Mechanical stress during grinding may compromise dispersion stability.

Packaging

200 kg/drum (Actual packaging subject to order specifications).

Important Notice
Performance may vary based on application conditions and formulation ratios. Process validation is strongly recommended prior to full-scale production.

Key Consistency Checks:

  • All specifications (e.g., 42 ± 1%5.0% hydroxyl) preserved verbatim.
  • Warnings on grinding stability, viscosity effects, and Bayhydrol substitution maintained without modification.
  • Technical terminology standardized (e.g., "hydrophilized hardener," "pot life," "non-volatile content").
  • Neutral tone and industrial documentation style retained.
